Failures, apologies, and why I haven’t posted in awhile.
Still a little upset about not getting a chance to record the last round, I made sure to squeeze in time for this round.
This was a pvp on round. Definitely my least favorite. Big teams is awful, but I can always choose to play alone. I probably won’t win that way, but playing to me isn’t about winning, it’s about having fun.
This round I had a lot of fun, I enjoyed building, and I managed to get up to master challenges despite it being pvp. Not too bad, if I say so myself. I got some screenshots…
…and two YouTube videos of the island.
Blizzard0508 won this round, way to go, Blizz! You can see his beehive like island right beside mine.
So not one, but TWO Skyblock rounds have run since my last post. It’s been a busy week. The last round went so fast I didn’t even have time to take a video or do much screenshotting.
However, I did get something out of it. My first Skyblock win!
Zenzeri joined me the evening before, gathered a ton of gold for villager curing, then Cruelshadow slaved away for me the day we managed to win. I know I’ve said before I don’t work well with people, but Zen was very easy for me to work with, and Cruel wasn’t bad himself. Maybe I can be social, ha!
I don’t recall if there were two all nighters or just one, it’s all a bit foggy. All nighters for the sake of Minecraft are not recommended.
The top platform wasn’t much, a mushroom house, animals, farms, a spawner. The real work was on the slime floor where I had this elaborate village, but got no screenshots of that part except the one above. Very sad.
So, finally, I shall do a post dedicated to my love of skyblock.
In late August I decided to return to playing Minecraft. At the time there was a new minigame that was quite popular on the OmniWorld server. I resisted for several days since I am not a minigame sort of person, but finally joined. I was not aware that it was a competition that would end when someone won. In fact, I was not aware there were even challenges for several days, or that I could repeat those challenges for several days more.
As such, my first island was mostly about building lovely things I thought I would be able to keep working on.
Inspired by Omnixius and various other youtubers, I decided to have a go at recording one of my own.
Lately I’ve been playing a lot of SkyBlock. Mostly on OmniWorld, of course, but here and there on other servers as well just to practice various tricks.
